إِنَّindeed يَومَthe day of الحِسابِreckoning يَومٌa day عَسيرُhard
إِنَّ يَومَ الحِسابِ يَومٌ عَسيرُ
لَيسَthere is no لِلظالِمينَfor the wrongdoers فيهِon it نَصيرُhelper
لَيسَ لِلظالِمينَ فيهِ نَصيرُ
Indeed, the Day of Reckoning is a hard day.
The day of reckoning is a difficult day
The wrongdoers will have no helper on that day.
The unjust will find no helper there
فَاِتَّخِذso take عُدَّةًprovision لِمُطَّلَعِfor the prospect of القَبthe grave (first fragment)
فَاِتَّخِذ عُدَّةً لِمُطَّلَعِ القَب
رِfinal fragment of 'grave' وَهَولِand the terror of الصِراطِthe Bridge ياO مَنصورُMansur
رِ وَهَولِ الصِراطِ يا مَنصورُ
So make provision for what awaits at the grave,
Prepare provisions for the one peering into the grave
And the terror of the Bridge, O Mansur.
And the terror of the path, O Mansour
