أَرى صاحِبَ الدُنيا بِها حَيثُما أَمّا

أَرى صاحِبَ الدُنيا بِها حَيثُما أَمّا

إِذا ازدادَ مالاً زادَهُ مالُهُ غَمّا

إِذا ازدادَ مالاً زادَهُ مالُهُ غَمّا

I see the man of this world, wherever he turns within it:

I see the lover of this world worried wherever I go

When he gains more wealth, his wealth adds to his grief.

If his money increases, his worries increase as well
