مِن بُخلِ نَفسِكَ عَلَّ اللَهَ يَشفيها
I recite a healing charm over you, I recite it over you; in God's name I recite it over you,
I heal you, I heal you in God's name, I heal you
against your soul's miserliness; may God heal it.
From the stinginess of your soul, may God heal it
ماnot سِلمُfriend كَفِّكَyour hand إِلّاexcept مَنwhoever يُناوِلُهاgives something to it
ما سِلمُ كَفِّكَ إِلّا مَن يُناوِلُها
وَلاand not عَدُوُّكَyour enemy إِلّاexcept مَنwhoever يُرَجّيهاhopes for something from it
وَلا عَدُوُّكَ إِلّا مَن يُرَجّيها
Your hand's only friend is whoever gives to it,
No one is safe from your palm except those who extend it
and your only enemy is whoever hopes for something from it.
And no one is your enemy except those who wish it
