لِلَّهِto God دَرُّbounty (expressing praise) أَبيكَyour father أَيَّةُwhat a لَيلَةٍnight

God bless your father—what a night,
Oh God, how precious is your father's home on the night
That labored to bring forth its dawn for the Day of Standing!
that gave birth at dawn to the day of reckoning.
لَوif أَنَّthat عَيناًan eye وَهَّمَتهاmade it envision نَفسُهاits own soul
يَومَthe day الحِسابِthe reckoning مُمَثِّلاًin visible form لَمnot تَطرِفِblink
If an eye's own soul made it envision
If an eye had intended it, no glance would waver on the day of judgement
The Day of Reckoning in visible form, it would not blink.
