تَبارَكَblessed be اللَهُGod ماhow أَجفاكِcruel you are ياO مَلَكَهqueen
ʿUtayba persisted in shunning me, so I said to her:
Blessed be God! How cruel you are, O queen!
إِنif كُنتِyou were أَزمَعتِyou resolved ياO سُؤليmy desire وَياand O أَمَليmy hope
حَقّاًtruly عَلىupon عَبذِكِyour slave المِسكينِthe wretched بِالهَلكَهwith destruction
If you have resolved, O my desire and my hope,
truly to bring ruin upon your wretched slave,
فَقَدthen indeed رَضيتُI am content بِماwith what أَصبَحتِyou have become راضِيَةًcontent
هاbehold قَدalready هَلَكتُI have perished عَلىin اِسمِthe name اللَهِGod وَالبَرَكَهand blessing
then I am content with what you are now content with.
Behold, I have perished—in God's name and with blessing!
