For some purpose you were created—why this delusion?
For some purpose the months are driven onward with you.

the millstone of time's calamities, turning round and round.

For their stillness is motion that whispers,
as though the depths of what they hide lay exposed.

whose drinker faces decay and resurrection!

By your life, none attains excellence except
one God-fearing at heart, seeking God's reward and patient.

surging with its inhabitants, with seas of its own?

And many a man stirs strife against you while keeping still,
as though his tongue were a mauling beast of prey.

In an abode where, before its inhabitants,
the veils are ceaselessly torn from its disgraces.

Behold, there is light upon certainty,
and there is no light upon doubt.
