    Blessed is a Lord who ever is and ever has been,

    lavish in gifts, a provider, unceasing in bounty.

    I grew fond of the abode of death, finding it fair,

    yet death is flaw enough for me in the abode of death.

    فَما كُلُّ مَوثوقٍ بِهِ ناصِحُ الجَيبِ

    Let a man be alone with himself, apart from those he trusts;

    for not everyone trusted is sincere at heart.

    By your life, no eye is blind to death,

    nor is the mind of one endowed with reason in doubt about resurrection.

    And the world has never ceased showing people an outward aspect,

    in which it has a witness pointing to the unseen.
