Beware of oppression, slander, and backbiting,

and doubt, associating partners with God, tyranny, and suspicion.

Age adds not even a mustard seed’s weight to you

without death drawing closer to you once more.

So how can you last, while the days rush on,

sometimes lifting you up, sometimes bringing you down?

And time—were its changes to be counted—

has a reversal with every blink of your eye.
