أَكثَرَincreased موسىMusa غَيظَfury حُسّادِهِhis enviers
وَزَيَّنَand adorned الأَرضَthe earth بِأَولادِهِwith his children
Musa has heightened his enviers' fury,
Moses angered his enviers greatly
and adorned the earth with his children.
And adorned the earth with his children
وَجاءَناand came to us مِنfrom صُلبِهِhis loins سَيِّدٌa lord
أَصيَدُproud of bearing فيin تَقطيعِthe bodily form of أَجدادِهِhis forefathers
And from his loins a lord has come to us,
And there came to us from his lineage a master
proud of bearing, in his forefathers' mold.
Adept in the art of his forefathers
فَاكتَسَتِso clothed itself الأَرضُthe earth بِهِthrough him بَهجَةًsplendor
وَاستَبشَرَand rejoiced المَلكُthe king بِميلادِهِat his birth
So the earth clothed itself in splendor through him,
So the earth was delighted through him
and the king rejoiced at his birth.
And the king rejoiced at his birth
وَابتَسَمَand smiled المِنبَرُthe pulpit عَنout of فَرحَةٍjoy

And the pulpit smiled with a joy
And the pulpit smiled with joy
that raised the summit of its timbers.
That raised the summit of its poles
كَأَنَّنيas though I بَعدَafter قَليلٍa little while بِهِbeholding him
بَينَamong مَواليهِhis retainers وَقُوّادِهِand his commanders
I can almost see him, before long,
It was as if after a little while through him
among his retainers and commanders,
I was between his loyalists and leaders
فيin مَحفِلٍan assembly تَخفُقُflutter راياتُهُhis banners
قَدalready طَبَّقَcovered الأَرضَthe earth بِأَجنادِهِwith his troops
in an assembly where his banners flutter,
In a gathering where his banners fluttered
having already covered the earth with his troops.
Having covered the earth with his soldiers
