فَتاًa youth ماnot استَفادَacquired المالَwealth إِلّاexcept that أَفادَهُhe bestowed it
فَتاً ما استَفادَ المالَ إِلّا أَفادَهُ
سِواهُon others besides himself كَأَنَّas though المالَwealth فيin كَفِّهِhis palm حُلمُa dream
سِواهُ كَأَنَّ المالَ في كَفِّهِ حُلمُ
A youth who acquires wealth only to bestow it
On others—as though wealth in his palm were a dream.

When al-Mahdi smiles, his right hand calls out:
"Lo! Whoever comes to us as a visitor—the decision is his!"
