Among friends, I love every accommodating one,

faithful, who turns a blind eye to my missteps,

who supports me in every good thing I seek,

and protects me in life and after my death.

And who can bring me such a friend? If only I had found him,

then I would share with him whatever good deeds I have.

I examined my friends, and very few of them were

worthy of trust, despite their great number.
