وَمِن عِيانٍ وَمِن سَماعِ
And knowledge comes only from reasoning by analogy,
Knowledge comes from inference, evidence and report

And he who hides a matter cannot evade
وَالكاتِمُand one who conceals الأَمرَthe matter لَيسَdoes not يَخفىgo unnoticed
وَالكاتِمُ الأَمرَ لَيسَ يَخفى

And one who conceals a matter does not go unnoticed,
Like fire glowing amidst the brushwood
like one who lights a fire on high ground.
