لَوif سَلَّمَentrusted العَبدُthe servant إِلَيهِto it الطَلَبthe pursuit
لَو سَلَّمَ العَبدُ إِلَيهِ الطَلَب
Ah, many a provision would have come through some means,
O Lord of provision that came from a cause
had the servant entrusted his pursuit to it.
If only the servant surrendered to it his request
وَرُبَّand many a مَنone who قَدindeed جاءَهُcame to him رِزقُهُhis sustenance

مِن حَيثُ لايَرجو وَلايَحتَسِب
And many a person has received his sustenance
And the Lord of he whose provision came to him
from where he neither hopes for it nor expects it.
From where he does not hope nor account

How beneficial reason is to those who possess it!
How useful is reason for its owners
The result of reason is perfect conduct.
The outcome of reason is perfection of manner

No affair goes straight but it turns crooked,
The matter will not go straight except with repentance
and nothing comes but it passes away.
And nothing comes except it goes

And time, its wonders do not cease
in everything you ponder, there is a wonder.
In all that you pondered, it is wonder
