يا رَبِّ أَرجوكَ لا سِواكَ

يا رَبِّ أَرجوكَ لا سِواكَ

وَلَم يَخِب سَعيُ مَن رَجاكا

وَلَم يَخِب سَعيُ مَن رَجاكا

O Lord, I implore You—none but You;

O my Lord, I place my hope in You, not in anyone else.

Never has the striving of one who hopes in You come to nothing.

And the striving of one who hoped in You has not failed.

أَنتَ الَّذي لَم تَزَل خَفِيّاً

أَنتَ الَّذي لَم تَزَل خَفِيّاً

لا تَبلُغُ الأَوهامَ مُنتَهاكا

لا تَبلُغُ الأَوهامَ مُنتَهاكا

You are the One who has never ceased to be hidden;

You are the One who has always remained hidden.

The mind’s imaginings cannot reach Your utmost bound.

Imaginations cannot reach Your utmost extent.

إِن أَنتَ لَم تَهدِنا ضَلَلنا

إِن أَنتَ لَم تَهدِنا ضَلَلنا

يا رَبِّ إِنَّ الهُدى هُداكا

يا رَبِّ إِنَّ الهُدى هُداكا

If You do not guide us, we shall go astray.

If You do not guide us, we go astray.

O Lord, surely all guidance is Your guidance.

O my Lord, indeed, guidance is Your guidance.

أَحَطتَ عِلماً بِنا جَميعاً

أَحَطتَ عِلماً بِنا جَميعاً

أَنتَ تَرانا وَلا نَراكا

أَنتَ تَرانا وَلا نَراكا

You encompass us all in Your knowledge;

You have encompassed us all with Your knowledge.

You see us, while we do not see You.

You see us, and we do not see You.
