أَسرَعَhastened فيin نَقصِthe decline of امرِئٍa man تَمامُهُhis perfection
أَسرَعَ في نَقصِ امرِئٍ تَمامُهُ
ياO ذاyou الَّذيwho قَدalready بَعُدَتhave grown distant أَيّامُهُhis days
يا ذا الَّذي قَد بَعُدَت أَيّامُهُ
A man's perfection hastens his decline.
He hastens to expose a person's faults, though his own perfection is far away.
O you whose days have already grown distant.
O you whose days are so far away from perfection!
