نَفسيmy soul بِشَيءٍto something مِنَof الدُنياthe world مُعَلَّقَةٌattached
نَفسي بِشَيءٍ مِنَ الدُنيا مُعَلَّقَةٌ
اللَهُGod وَالقائِمُand the reigning one المَهدِيُّal-Mahdi يَكفيهاsuffices for it
اللَهُ وَالقائِمُ المَهدِيُّ يَكفيها
My soul is attached to something of this world.
My soul is attached to something of this world
God and the reigning al-Mahdi suffice for it.
God and Al-Mahdi are enough for it
إِنّيindeed I لَأَيأَسُsurely despair مِنهاof it ثُمَّthen يُطعِمُنيfeeds me
إِنّي لَأَيأَسُ مِنها ثُمَّ يُطعِمُني
فيهاin it اِحتِقارُكَyour disdain لِلدُنياfor the world وَماand what فيهاis in it
فيها اِحتِقارُكَ لِلدُنيا وَما فيها
Indeed I despair of it; then I am fed
I often despair of it, then it feeds me
In it by your disdain for the world and all it contains.
