إِذاwhen ماemphatic particle رَأَيتُمyou saw مَيِّتينَdead people جَزِعتُمُyou were distressed
إِذا ما رَأَيتُم مَيِّتينَ جَزِعتُمُ
وَإِنand if لَمnot تَرَواyou see مِلتُمyou inclined إِلىtoward صَبَواتِهاits youthful fancies
وَإِن لَم تَرَوا مِلتُم إِلى صَبَواتِها
Whenever you see the dead, you are distressed.
When you see two dead ones, you are sad
And if you do not see them, you incline toward its youthful fancies.
And if you do not see them, you yearn for their young ones
