اللَهُGod يَحفَظُprotects لاnot الحِراسَهguarding
اللَهُ يَحفَظُ لا الحِراسَه
وَلَرُبَّماand indeed, sometimes تُخطيerrs الفِراسَهdiscernment
وَلَرُبَّما تُخطي الفِراسَه
It is God who protects, not vigilance.
God protects, not guards
And discernment may well err.
And perhaps foresight fails
طَلَبُpursuit الرِئاسَةِleadership ماas far as عَلِمknew (verb stem)
طَلَبُ الرِئاسَةِ ما عَلِم
تَyou (verb suffix) تَفاقَمَتhas intensified فيهِin it النَفاسَهrivalry
تَ تَفاقَمَت فيهِ النَفاسَه
The pursuit of leadership, as
Seeking leadership, you knew not
you know, has seen rivalry grow fierce.
How vanity in it grows
وَالناسُand the people يَخبِطُstrikes بَعضُهُمsome of them
وَالناسُ يَخبِطُ بَعضُهُم
بَعضاًothers عَلىover طَلَبِpursuit الرِئاسَهleadership
بَعضاً عَلى طَلَبِ الرِئاسَه
And some among the people strike
People stumble over each other
others in pursuit of leadership.
