نَعمُرُwe build up الدُنياthe world وَماyet not الدُنthe world (first part)
نَعمُرُ الدُنيا وَما الدُن
ياcompletes 'the world' لَناfor us دارُan abode إِقامَةresidence
يا لَنا دارُ إِقامَة
We build up the world, yet the world is not
We build this world and it builds not us
a lasting abode for us.
For us a dwelling place it is not
إِنَّماonly الغِبطَةُbliss وَالحَسand regret (first part)
إِنَّما الغِبطَةُ وَالحَس
رَةُcompletes 'regret' فيon يَومِthe Day of القِيامَةthe Resurrection
رَةُ في يَومِ القِيامَة
Bliss and regret are only
True happiness and envy-freedom
on the Day of Resurrection.
Come only on Resurrection Day
