تَفديكَ نَفسي مِن كُلِّ ما كَرِهَت

نَفسُكَ إِن كُنتُ مُذنِباً فَاِغفِر

My soul redeems you from all that your soul detests

If I have sinned, then forgive me

يا لَيتَ قَلبي مُصَوَّرٌ لَكَ ما

فيهِ لِتَتَيقِنَ الَّذي أُضمِر

Oh, if only my heart was illustrated for you

So you would ascertain what I harbor within
