كافرٌ بالذي سواهُ جناهُ
The chrysanthemum attested that its bloom
The red anemones bear witness that his love
Was plucked by one who denied the One who fashioned him,
Is an infidel to all but his love

مِن هوى مَن قضى عليهِ هواهُ
Saying the words of one who long ago renounced
Saying words of one who has long renounced
Love for one whose love had destroyed him:
The passion of the one his passion destroyed
إنَّindeed نَورَthe blossoms الرُّبىthe hills عبيدٌslaves وكُلٌّand each

للبهارِ البهيّ يقضي وَلاهُ
Indeed, the blossoms of the hills are slaves, and each
The light of spring are slaves, each
Renders its allegiance to the radiant bahār flower.
To the splendid spring, fulfilling its will
