أَراجيلُ أَحبوشٌ وَأَغضَفُ آلفُ
Were I in Raymān, its gate guarded
If I were in Rayman, its gate guarded
If I were in Rimān guarding its gate
by companies of Abyssinian foot soldiers and a tame, drooping-eared lion,
by a mixed band of foot soldiers and a tame, droop-eared dog,
With alarms of lovebirds and friendly allies
إِذَنthen لَأَتَتنيwould surely come to me حَيثُwhere كُنتُI was مَنِيَّتيmy death

يَخُبُّ بِها هادٍ بِأَمرِيَ قائِفُ
then my appointed death would reach me wherever I might be,
then my death would surely come to me wherever I was,
My wishes would come to me wherever I was
a guide—a tracker charged with finding me—hastening along bearing it.
a guide trotting with it, a tracker versed in my affairs.
A guide finding me by my command
فَمِنso, out of رَهبَةٍfear آتيI approach المَتالِفَthe deadly places سادِراًheedlessly
فَمِن رَهبَةٍ آتي المَتالِفَ سادِراً
وَأَيَّةُand what أَرضٍland لَيسَthere are not فيهاin it مَتالِفُdeadly places
وَأَيَّةُ أَرضٍ لَيسَ فيها مَتالِفُ
So, out of fear, I go heedlessly into deadly perils;
So out of fear I approach deadly places, heedless—
So in awe I come to the ally progressing
and what land is without deadly perils?
and what land has no deadly places?
And what land is there without an ally?
