his outward form and character match in beauty;

His nature matches his character, handsomely so

and his excellence and innate nature suffice you.

And you are content with elegance and pride

تشاهد منه طوداً مشمخراً

وأفعال الملوك الكسرويه

وأفعال الملوك الكسرويه

You behold in him a towering mountain

You see him lofty and grand

and the Khosrow-like deeds of kings.

With the actions of kingly Kisras

له أقلام كيف يشاء تجري

He has pens that flow as he desires

with fate's support, in accordance with his will.

With the support of fate and divine decree
