If a quarrelsome, ill-tempered man comes to her,
Should one with parted teeth approach in wrath,
She drinks what is in her milk-skin before any eye can see it.
She drinks the water in his pool before his eyes.

She vies with the dog when the dog thrusts its muzzle in,
She snarls in the hound's face when the hound but snarls,
Stretched out between a wine-strainer and a wine jar.
Frolicking betwixt porch and wall.
