    The hidden depths of my secret almost rejoiced in what

    You bestowed upon me—a joy I will not name.

    Then a secret from You, watching it, cried out to my secret:

    “How can there be joy in a secret, apart from the One who reveals it?”

    So it remained secretly beholding Him, that He might behold it,

    while the Real beholds me—should I not attend to Him?

    وأقبل الحق يغنيني ويغنيه

    And the secret drew near, making the whole dispense with any attribute of mine;

    and the Real drew near, sufficing me and sufficing it.
