حثثناها لساحتكم حثيثا

حثثناها لساحتكم حثيثا

We sent the pale camels surging toward you.

The winds blew towards you in rebellion,

We urged them swiftly to your courtyard.

We hurried them to your square hastily.

يطارحنا لكم ود قديم

يطارحنا لكم ود قديم

فيجعل آه لوعتنا حديثا

فيجعل آه لوعتنا حديثا

A longstanding affection for you converses with us,

It casts upon you an old love,

And turns the 'ah' of our anguish into speech.

Making our sighs fresh in grief.

وكم قال العذول بنا لحقد

وكم قال العذول بنا لحقد

علينا كامن قولا غثيثا

علينا كامن قولا غثيثا

And how often the reproacher spoke of us, out of hatred

How much did the jealous say to us in hatred,

Lurking against us, with worthless words.

Secretly uttering vile words.

ويعرفنا الورى ويميز ربي

ويعرفنا الورى ويميز ربي

من الاطياب بالقدر الخبيثا

من الاطياب بالقدر الخبيثا

And people know us, and my Lord distinguishes

And mankind recognizes us and distinguishes, my Lord,

The vile from the good according to their worth.

The good from the wicked in fate.

وينصرنا الكريم كما تلونا

وينصرنا الكريم كما تلونا

كتاب الله فينا والحديثا

كتاب الله فينا والحديثا

And the Generous One grants us victory, as we have read

The Generous one aids us as we adhered

In God's Book and the Hadith concerning us.

To the Book of God and the Traditions.

وحاشا ان يريع العبد ضنك

وحاشا ان يريع العبد ضنك

اذا كان المعين له مغيثا

اذا كان المعين له مغيثا

And hardship could never frighten the servant,

Far it is that the servant tastes distress

When his Helper comes to his rescue.

When the Helper for him is a savior.

رضينا بالذي قد صان موسي

رضينا بالذي قد صان موسي

واكرم آدما واعان شيثا

واكرم آدما واعان شيثا

We are content with the One who protected Moses,

We are content with Him who honored Moses

And honored Adam and aided Seth.

And exalted Adam and helped Seth.
