سلطان عزك في غيب الوجود جلا
غيمclouds الضلالerror وفيand in شأوthe heights الفخارhonor علاrose high
غيم الضلال وفي شأو الفخار علا
The sovereign power of your glory, in the unseen realm of being, dispelled
The reign of your might permeates all unseen existence
the clouds of error, and rose to the heights of honor.
The clouds of misguidance have risen above the vessels of the humble
أنتyou الوليthe guardian لكلfor all المؤمنينthe believers كماas
أنت الولي لكل المؤمنين كما
صحproved sound الحديثthe tradition وبالإسنادand with the chain of narration قدindeed نقلاwas transmitted
صح الحديث وبالإسناد قد نقلا
You are the guardian of all believers, as
You are the guardian of all the faithful as
the sound tradition attests, transmitted with its chain of narration.
The hadith is sound with an unbroken chain of transmission
ياO حيدرHaydar الغيبthe unseen ياO بابgate المدينةthe city ياO
يا حيدر الغيب يا باب المدينة يا
سبعlion الجلالةmajesty ياO وصالreunion منwhoever فصلاwas parted
سبع الجلالة يا وصال من فصلا
O Haydar of the unseen, O gate of the city, O
O Haider, knower of secrets, gate of the city,
lion of majesty, O reunion for those parted.
Pillar of majesty, companion to those separated
ياO هيكلtemple العلمknowledge فيin كلall العوالمthe worlds ياO
يا هيكل العلم في كل العوالم يا
صهرson-in-law النبيthe Prophet وياand O كشافunveiler ماwhat نزلاdescended
صهر النبي ويا كشاف ما نزلا
O temple of knowledge in all the worlds, O
O temple of knowledge in all the worlds,
son-in-law of the Prophet, and O unveiler of what was sent down.
Son-in-law of the Prophet, revealer of what was revealed
لكfor you اتحادa union منfrom المختارthe Chosen One حكمتهits wisdom
لك اتحاد من المختار حكمته
مخفيةhidden لمnot تكنwas تجلىmade manifest لمنto whoever جهلاwas ignorant
مخفية لم تكن تجلى لمن جهلا
Yours is a union stemming from the Chosen One; its wisdom
You have been united with the Chosen One through his wisdom
is hidden, never made manifest to the ignorant.
Hidden from those ignorant of the totality and details
أيدتهI strengthened him بعليwith Ali سرthe secret مظهرهاits manifestation
أيدته بعلي سر مظهرها
يدريهknows it منwhoever أدركgrasped التفصيلthe details والجملاand the broad outlines
يدريه من أدرك التفصيل والجملا
‘I strengthened him with Ali’ is the secret of its manifestation;
You supported him through Ali, the secret of its manifestation
whoever grasps the details and the broad outlines knows it.
