بني البضعة الزهرا مقام علا العليا
The Prophet’s family, offspring of Haydara of the fray,
The Prophet's family are lions in battle
sons of al-Zahra, a piece of the Prophet’s flesh, have a station above the highest.
The pure chosen ones, of highest station
مودتهمaffection for them فرضan obligation عظيمgreat وحبهمand love for them
مودتهم فرض عظيم وحبهم
تطيبgrows pleasant بهthrough it الأخرىthe hereafter وتحلوand grows sweet بهthrough it الدنياthis world
تطيب به الأخرى وتحلو به الدنيا
Affection for them is a great obligation, and love for them—
Loving them is an obligation so great
through it the hereafter grows pleasant, and through it this world grows sweet.
With it life grows beautiful and sweet
