لذ بالرفاعي الحسيني الذي

قد مد راحته له المختار

Seek refuge with al-Rifaʿi al-Husayni, to whom

the Chosen One has indeed extended his palm.

سلطان كل الاولياء وعارف

نهضت به في سيره الاقدار

Sultan of all the saints, and a knower of God,

raised by the decrees of fate along his path.

هو نجم دين بالشريعة ثاقب

طويت بذيل ضيائه الاقمار

He is a star of faith, piercingly bright through the sacred law;

the moons were folded away in the train of his radiance.

متواضع كالشمس يلمع نورها

فوق الثرى ولها العلا مضمار

Humble like the sun, whose light gleams

above the earth, while the heights are its racecourse.

غوث على قدم الرسول سلوكه

ولغيره في سلكه اطوار

A succoring saint, whose path follows the Messenger's footsteps;

and others within his order have their stages.

هو ساكت متواضع عن عزة

ولديه كبار الرجال صغار

He is silent and humble out of dignity;

and before him, great men are small.

لم ترفع الدعوى وان كبرت فتى

للحق برهان له آثار

No claim, however grand, has ever exalted a young man;

truth has proof, and that proof has its signs.

هذا ابو العلمين احمد الذي

فخرت به الزهراء والكرار

This is Ahmad, Father of the Two Banners, in whom

al-Zahra and al-Karrar took pride.

وبنسله نور النبوة ظاهر

متسلسل ما كرت الاعصار

And in his descendants the light of prophethood is manifest,

linked in succession as long as the ages roll on.

ان يحسدوا لجدودهم ولجودهم

فهموهمو وعلى الحسود العار

If they are envied for their forefathers and their generosity,

then they are who they are, and shame rests on the envious.

هم بالرسول وبالحسين واحمد

اسد الغيوب وسيفهم بتار

Through the Messenger, Husayn, and Ahmad, they are

lions of the unseen realms, and their sword is keen-edged.

ومن اعتدى واراد يطفيء نورهم

ذاق الوبال وماله انصار

And whoever transgressed and sought to extinguish their light

tasted ruin, and has no helpers.

هم خيرة الرحمن في اهل الحمى

والله يفعل كيفما يختار

They are the All-Merciful's elect among the people of the sanctuary;

and God acts however He chooses.
