يا نور عين الخلق يا مولانا
ياO كوكبstar يثربYathrib
يا كوكب يثرب
O light of creation’s eye, O our master,
O light of creation's eyes, our Master
O star of Yathrib,
O star of Yathrib
ياO منwho كفاناspared us الهمworry والأحزانand sorrows
يا من كفانا الهم والأحزان
والخطبand calamity المرعبterrifying
والخطب المرعب
O you who spared us worry and sorrows,
O you who spared us sorrows and worries
And terrifying calamity,
And frightful events
أدركcome to the rescue ولاحظand regard بالرضىwith favor إحساناout of kindness
أدرك ولاحظ بالرضى إحسانا
كيso that ميحيunclear as written المتعبthe weary one
كي ميحي المتعب
Come to our aid and regard us with favor, out of kindness,
Grant us your pleasure and care
So that [word unclear] the weary one.
To soothe the weary
واصرفand avert بفضلthrough grace كيدplotting منwhoever آذاناharmed us
واصرف بفضل كيد من آذانا
ياO ساميlofty المنصبstation
يا سامي المنصب
And avert, through grace, the plotting of whoever harmed us,
And dispel with your grace the schemes of those who hurt us
O you of lofty station,
O most noble one
ياO مظهرmanifestation السرthe secret الإلهيdivine الذاتيof the Essence
يا مظهر السر الإلهي الذاتي
ياO سرsecret الأمرof the Command
يا سر الأمر
O manifestation of the divine secret of the Essence,
O manifestation of the divine essence
O secret of the Command,
O secret of the matter
ياO هيكلtemple الأسماءof the Names والصفاتand Attributes
يا هيكل الأسماء والصفات
فيin لوحthe tablet السرof the secret
في لوح السر
O temple of the Names and Attributes,
O temple of the Names and Attributes
In the tablet of the secret,
In the tablet of mysteries
ياO نقطةpoint الأجمالof summation فيin الأياتthe verses
يا نقطة الأجمال في الأيات
وخطand the script الذكرof remembrance
وخط الذكر
O point of summation in the verses,
O quintessence of beauties in the signs
And the script of remembrance,
And line of remembrance
ياO منwho حباناgranted us فيهin it فيamong سواناothers besides us
يا من حبانا فيه في سوانا
منهاجاًa path طيبgood
منهاجاً طيب
O you who granted us, therein, among others,
O you who endowed us in our core
A good path,
With a good way
بفضلكby your grace المشهورrenowned فيin الأكوانthe worlds
بفضلك المشهور في الأكوان
ياO بابgate اللَهof God
يا باب اللَه
By your grace, renowned throughout the worlds,
Through your famed grace throughout the cosmos
O gate of God,
O door to God
وسركand your secret المطلسمtalismanic الربانيdivine
وسرك المطلسم الرباني
ياO عاليexalted الجاهstanding
يا عالي الجاه
And by your talismanic, divine secret,
And your concealed divine secret
O you of exalted standing,
O most high in station
بكلby every معنىmeaning جاءcame فيin القرآنthe Qur’an
بكل معنى جاء في القرآن
منfrom عندthe presence of اللَهGod
من عند اللَه
By every meaning that came in the Qur’an,
Every meaning in the Quran comes
From God,
From God
أسرعhasten بعطفwith compassion كاملperfect يرعاناwatches over us
أسرع بعطف كامل يرعانا
بالشرقin the East ومغربand the West
بالشرق ومغرب
Hasten with perfect compassion that watches over us,
Quickly care for us with perfect kindness
In the East and West.
