    O father of al-Batul, across the two horizons, give aid

    To a servant who calls to you, upon whom enemies have descended.

    فكم أشاعوا وكم أجروا وكم فعلوا

    And they have laid ruinous snares for him;

    How much they have spread, how much they have set in motion, how much they have done!

    O my master, O father of al-Zahra, help! For there is

    No refuge for my back but you; the paths have narrowed.

    O soul of the body of all beings, help

    With your compassion a tormented one whom hope has betrayed.

    موتوا بغيظكم واقطع لما وصلوا

    And tell his enemies: “Your cords have been severed;

    Die in your rage!” And sever what they have joined.

    If only I could strike them with arrows of overpowering might—for they

    Are slain whenever you shoot them, O Mustafa.

    And have mercy on a poor stranger, a praiser, who has come

    To trace his lineage to you, while the messengers have sought refuge in you.

    May the God of the Throne bless you whenever

    The sun shines, and whenever riders journey or alight,

    And the family, companions, and followers—our masters—

    People of noble virtues, who have turned away from others.
