نيا وفي دار الخلود

O manifestation of divine mercy in the

world and in the abode of eternity.

من أغرق الدنيا بجود

O cause of creation, O

you who flooded the world with generosity.

يا عضب قدس حد بال

حد الجرى خير الحدود

O sacred sword that was honed with

O mighty sanctity, he set

the daring edge, the finest of edges,

The course of goodness, the best limits

وأقام بنيان الهدى

وأبان منهاج الورود

and raised the edifice of guidance,

And clarified the approach of pilgrimage

وأتى لهدم البغى وال

عدوان من كرم الودود

and came to demolish oppression and

aggression, through the Loving One's generosity.

فأتم سر الهدل بال

برهان والرأي السديد

So he perfected the mystery of [guidance?] with

proof and sound judgment.

ولحل عقد الكفر جا

بالذكر منظوم العقود

And to untie the knots of unbelief he came

And to untie the knot of disbelief, he came

with the Remembrance, its necklaces finely strung.

With the mention, the strung beads

فجلا ظلام الشرك وال

فجلا ظلام الشرك وال

بهتان بالدد المديد

بهتان بالدد المديد

Thus he dispelled the darkness of idolatry and

So the darkness of polytheism and

slander, with far-reaching [aid?].

Falsehood was uncovered, with the sharp sword

يا من أعز الدين بال

عز القديم وبالجنود

عز القديم وبالجنود

O you who strengthened the faith with

O you who strengthened religion with

ancient might and with troops—

The might of the Ancient and the armies

أصحابه الغر بالكرا

أصحابه الغر بالكرا

م الزهر أصحاب البنود

م الزهر أصحاب البنود

his radiant companions—with the

His companions the strangers, with generosity

noble, resplendent bearers of banners.

The people of banners

رحماك رحماك الغيا

ث فقد هلكت من الصدود

Your mercy, your mercy! Come to my

Have mercy on you, have mercy

aid, for I have perished from rejection.

Deliverance from obstacles

جلى بقرب منك يا

غوث الأقارب والبعيد

Dispel it through nearness to you, O

Revealed through your nearness, O

succor of kinsmen and those far away.

يا سيداً أعتابه

مأوى المتيم والطريد

مأوى المتيم والطريد

O master whose thresholds

O master, your threshold

are a refuge for the love-stricken and the outcast.

Is refuge for the longing and exiled

هو أحمد ومحمد ال

هو أحمد ومحمد ال

محمود مصباح السعود

He is Ahmad and Muhammad, the

He is Ahmad and Muhammad

praised one, the lamp of good fortune;

The praised, the lamp of sovereignty

حرم الأمان لدى ال

محيف وخير موفٍ بالعهود

محيف وخير موفٍ بالعهود

a sanctuary of safety in the face of the

The sanctum of security for

oppressor, and the best keeper of covenants;

The fearful, and best fulfilling promises

واجل هاد للجها

واجل هاد للجها

د وللركوع وللسجود

د وللركوع وللسجود

and the noblest guide to

And most venerable guide of

jihad, to bowing, and to prostration;

Struggle, bowing and prostration

وأعز من هرعت له

وأعز من هرعت له

للرشد أعيان الوفود

للرشد أعيان الوفود

and the most honored one to whom hastened

And most honoring of those who

the notables of delegations, seeking right guidance.

Rushed to him for guidance, the nobles of delegations

فاثابهم نيل المرا

فاثابهم نيل المرا

د بحل سلسلة القيود

د بحل سلسلة القيود

So he rewarded them with the fulfillment of their

So he rewarded them with attaining

desire, by undoing the chain of fetters.

Objectives by untying the chains

قمر تغلب ضمن طي

قمر تغلب ضمن طي

ي النشء في خير الجدود

ي النشء في خير الجدود

A moon that prevailed within the folds

Moon prevailing among the generations

of growth, among the noblest forefathers.

In the best of ancestors

صلى عليه اللَه ما ان

صلى عليه اللَه ما ان

تشر الصباح على الوجود

تشر الصباح على الوجود

May God send blessings upon him as long as

Blessings upon him from God for as long

dawn spreads over existence,

As the morning spreads over existence

وعلى بنيه كواكب السا

وعلى بنيه كواكب السا

دات والصحب الأسود

دات والصحب الأسود

and upon his sons, stars among the

And upon his sons, stars of

noble leaders, and his companions, the lions.
