My reprover blamed me, and reproach drew me
No reprimand can deter my desire
toward her, and my hearing grew weary of advice.
Or incline my hearing to good advice.
فأعجبواso marvel منat قبيحةan ugly woman ليto me تحلوis sweet

So marvel at an ugly woman who is sweet to me,
So they are amazed how what's ugly to me can seem sweet
while I consider leaving her an ugly thing.
And leaving it appears to me ugly.

إن تكن هيئة القلوب صحيحه
No fault lies in the outward forms,
No fault lies in outward appearances
if the condition of the hearts is sound.
If the state of hearts be sound.
