and so tastes misery amid bliss,

ماءwater وفيهاand within it النارfire ضمنamid الماءthe water
ماء وفيها النار ضمن الماء
like a solid ship floating on
water, with fire within it amid the water.
اواهalas! منfor فقدloss of الاحبةloved ones انهindeed, it
اواه من فقد الاحبة انه
قدmay يبرزbring forth الضراءadversity فيamid السراءhappiness
قد يبرز الضراء في السراء
Alas for the loss of loved ones! Indeed, it
may bring forth adversity amid happiness.
