إلهي بطه شفيع الأنام

إلهي بطه شفيع الأنام

وأولاده الأصفياء الكرام

وأولاده الأصفياء الكرام

My God, by Taha, intercessor for humankind,

My God, Boṭa is the intercessor of mankind

And his pure, noble children,

And his virtuous, honorable sons

بصهر الرضى السيد المرتضى

بصهر الرضى السيد المرتضى

جليل المقام علي الإمام

جليل المقام علي الإمام

By the son-in-law of the well-pleasing one, the master al-Murtada,

Through marriage to the pleased, al-Murtaḍá

Exalted in rank—Ali, the Imam,

Of lofty status, ‘Alī the Imam

بسبط النبي الحسين الزكي

بسبط النبي الحسين الزكي

وبالحسن الشهم نعم الهمام

وبالحسن الشهم نعم الهمام

By the Prophet’s grandson, al-Husayn the pure,

Through the Prophet's grandson, the pure al-Ḥusayn

And by gallant al-Hasan—what an excellent champion!

And through the intrepid, excellent al-Ḥasan

بأمهما نور عين الرسول

بأمهما نور عين الرسول

وأم الفحول الصدور العظام

وأم الفحول الصدور العظام

By their mother, the light of the Messenger’s eye,

Through their mother, the light of the Messenger's eye

And mother of mighty men, great leaders,

And mother of heroes, great in chest

بأولادها الغراهل العبا

بأولادها الغراهل العبا

وأولادهم روح جسم الأنام

وأولادهم روح جسم الأنام

By her radiant children, the People of the Cloak,

Through her sons, the noble youths

And their children, the soul of humankind’s body,

And their sons, the soul of the body of mankind

وأحفادهم بالتدلي أنى

وأحفادهم بالتدلي أنى

زمان النشور ويوم القيام

زمان النشور ويوم القيام

And their descendants in descending succession [until],

And their descendants, wherever they may be

The time of resurrection and the day of rising,

On the Day of Resurrection and Judgment

بكل عبادك أهل التقى

بكل عبادك أهل التقى

وأهل الصلاة وأهل الصيام

وأهل الصلاة وأهل الصيام

By all Your servants, the people of piety,

Through all Your servants, people of piety

And the people of prayer and the people of fasting,

People of prayer and people of fasting

بأحبابك العارفين الكرام

بأحبابك العارفين الكرام

وعشاقك الوافرين الغرام

وعشاقك الوافرين الغرام

By Your noble beloveds, those who know You,

Through Your beloved, noble souls

And Your lovers, overflowing with ardent love,

And Your passionate, ardent lovers

وأهل الخضوع وأهل الخشو

وأهل الخضوع وأهل الخشو

ع وأهل الوداع وأهل القيام

ع وأهل الوداع وأهل القيام

And those of submission and humble reverence,

People of humility, shyness and standing

And those of farewell and those who stand in prayer,

Every pure lover and devotee

بكل محب وعبد نقى

بكل محب وعبد نقى

وكل ولوه شواه الهيام

وكل ولوه شواه الهيام

By every lover and pure servant,

And every enraptured, passionate soul

And every lovesick soul whom love’s frenzy has scorched,

Among people who forbid wrong, righteous Muslims

بأهل النهى صالحي المسلمين

بأهل النهى صالحي المسلمين

رجال المحبة أهل الذمام

رجال المحبة أهل الذمام

By people of understanding, the righteous among Muslims,

Men of love, people of glory

Men of love, keepers of pledged trust:

Have mercy on us with hidden kindness

تعطف علينا بلطف خفي

تعطف علينا بلطف خفي

وجد وتكرم بنيل المرام

وجد وتكرم بنيل المرام

Show us compassion with hidden kindness,

Sincerity and generosity in fulfilling hopes

And be generous and gracious, granting the desired goal.

And bless with perfecting of matters

وانعم بحسنى كمال الأمو

وانعم بحسنى كمال الأمو

ر وحسن الشؤون وحسن الختام

ر وحسن الشؤون وحسن الختام

And bless us with the finest completion of affairs,

And excellent conduct and conclusion

And with good circumstances and a good end.

And forgive with pardoning and erasing sins

وسامح بعفو ومحو الذنو

وسامح بعفو ومحو الذنو

ب ودفع الكروب ورد اللئام

ب ودفع الكروب ورد اللئام

And pardon us, forgiving and wiping away sins,

Dispelling sorrows and repelling blames

Averting afflictions and repelling the ignoble.

And make good our meeting with You

وأحسن لقانا بحشر إلي

وأحسن لقانا بحشر إلي

ك بيوم القيمة يوم المهام

ك بيوم القيمة يوم المهام

And make our meeting good when we are gathered unto

On the Momentous Day of Judgment

You on the Day of Resurrection, the day of weighty matters.

And take us to Your Door without fear

وخذنا إلى الباب من غير خو

وخذنا إلى الباب من غير خو

ف يا من لدارك دار السلام

ف يا من لدارك دار السلام

And take us to the door without fear,

O You whose Abode is the Abode of Peace

O You whose abode is truly the Abode of Peace.

And bless the Hashimite Master

وصل على السيد الهاشمي

وصل على السيد الهاشمي

ي الرسول العظيم عليه السلام

ي الرسول العظيم عليه السلام

And bless the Hashemite master,

The great Messenger, blessings upon him

The great Messenger—peace be upon him.
