خفت لكم في طواياها سرائرها
وقدand indeed بدتappeared منfrom حواشيهاtheir margins البشاراتthe glad tidings
وقد بدت من حواشيها البشارات
Their secrets grew hushed for you within their folds;
I've hidden for you in their folds their mysteries,
And indeed, glad tidings emerged from their margins.
And signs of glad tidings have appeared in their margins.
طافتcircled بكمaround you ابداever ارواحناour spirits ولناand we have
طافت بكم ابدا ارواحنا ولنا
منfrom التولهlove's bewilderment حناتcries of yearning واناتand moans
من التوله حنات وانات
Our spirits have ever circled around you, and we have
Our souls have always wandered around you,
Cries of yearning and moans born of love's bewilderment.
From longing for you we have sighs and moans.
اللهGod! منat وجدناour ardent longing فيكمfor you وآهand ah! فكمthen how many
الله من وجدنا فيكم وآه فكم
بذلكin that الشانstate اسرارsecrets خفياتhidden
بذلك الشان اسرار خفيات
God, what longing we feel for you! And ah, how many
Oh God, in finding you - and oh! - in you
Hidden secrets there are in that state!

حنت اليكم قلوب لا قرار لها

Hearts longing for you with no rest
Except with you; the rift of separation has its afflictions.

قلوبنا ابدا تطوي الهيام لكم
وللقلوبand hearts have بماin what تطوىthey are enfolded اختلافاتdifferences
وللقلوب بما تطوى اختلافات
Our hearts forever enfold ardent love for you;
Our hearts forever harbor passion for you
And hearts differ in what enfolds them.
