I seek refuge with al-Rifa‘i, the succor, and his cub,
An intruder upon al-Ghawth and his cub,
Abu al-Himam al-Sayyad, the succor of creation.
The lofty aspirations of the hunter, savior of the wilderness, refused.

هموم وهت من حملها بشريتي
May my wish be fulfilled through them both, and may they be dispelled—
May he thereby accomplish his purpose and my anxieties disperse,
The sorrows whose burden has weakened my mortal self.
Worries that overwhelmed my humanity when it bore them.
