You possess the esoteric secrets and genealogies

The lofty status, argument, and ranks

يا أحمد القوم يا شبل الحسين ويا

من انت للزهر من آل البتول اب

O Ahmed of the people, o lion cub of Hussein and o

You who are, for the blossoms from the Prophet’s family, a father

قد جئت للحسنين الا حسنين على

بعد المدا خلفا يزهو به الحسب

You have come to the two finest Hasans after

A long time as a successor glowing with nobility

وانت للدين صبح يستضاء به

وفي سماء العلا آباؤكالشهب

You are, for the faith, a dawn by which

It is illuminated and in the heaven of highness your forefathers are stars

مجد ترقرق فيه المجد منهمرا

كما همت مذ طمت انواؤها السحب

A glory in which glory from them flows

As their springs overflowed when the clouds swelled

يا صاحب العلمين الخافقين ويا

شيخ الفريقين يا من طوره الادب

O master of the two waving banners and o

Sheikh of the two parties, o you whose manners are refined

انت الرفاعي مرفوع المكانة في

آل الوصي وغوث الكون والقطب

You are Rafai raised in status among

The Prophet’s family and the universe’s helper and axis

لك النيابة عن طه الحبيب وقد

لاذت بسامي علاك العجم والعرب

The deputyship is yours on behalf of Taha the beloved and

Non-Arabs and Arabs have taken refuge in your lofty self

تدعى وللنوب الدهماء زمجرة

فيدفع الله ما صالت به النوب

You are called upon when hardships roar

So Allah repels what harms have roared

والاسد ترجف في الغابات ان ندب ال

ملهوف باسمك في قفر ولا عجب

And lions tremble in the forests if

The desperate call your name in a desert—and that is no wonder

متى ذكرت وجمر النار ملتهب

بقدرة الله ذابت وانطوى اللهب

Whenever you are mentioned, embers flare up,

By Allah’s power they melt and the flames subside

والسم يغدو زلالا ان دعيت وقد

تحلو سموم الافاعي حين تنقلب

And poison turns to pure water if you are invoked and

The vipers’ venom turns sweet when it is transformed

والهندواني لم يقطع وجرحته

سحا عليها الشفاء المحض ينسكب

And the Indian’s wound was not cauterized yet

The purest healing flowed upon it, pouring out

الاولياء نجوم الارض ما برحوا

وانت شمس سناها ليس ينحجب

The saints are the earth’s stars—they have not ceased

And you are a sun whose brilliance cannot be veiled

سبقتهم بشؤن لا تعد لذا

عليك ساداتهم في الكون تنحسب

You surpassed them in remarkable qualities that cannot be counted

So, in the universe, their masters count themselves through you

وقد لثمت يمين المصطفى علنا

والقوم منهم هناك العسكر اللجب

And you have openly kissed the right hand of the Chosen One

While the army of distinguished nobles was there

فقبلوا منك بالعهد الوثيق يدا

منها عليهم رداء الفضل ينسحب

So they pledged to you with a solemn covenant

The mantle of virtue billows upon them from a hand of his

وانت حامي الحمى في كل نازلة

بها السيوف انذهالا ليس تنجذب

You are the protector of sanctums in every predicament

Swords recoil out of awe—they are not drawn

سلطان غر صدور الاولياء ابو ال

عرجاء من كشفت جهرا له الحجب

Sultan who revealed the secrets of saints’ breasts openly to him

Crossing the veils forcibly for him

للمرتضى الليث جحجاح الحروب عا

ي الال منك علا بالرفعة النسب

For the lion of battlefields Murtaza

The nobility’s banner is raised through you

لك الجماد مطيع لا يضر وقد

تهتز وجدا لمعنى ذكرك القضب

For you inanimate things are obedient and cannot harm

The branches stir intensely to the meaning of your mention

والعيس ان راح يحدوها باسمك من

يحدو فلا الحمل يضنيها ولا التعب

And if the stallion gallops at the sound of your name

Neither tiredness nor the burden slows its galloping

متى ندبناك في امر الم بنا

فالشر مبتعد والخير مقترب

Whenever we call upon you in our affairs of pain

Evil retreats and good approaches

اعطاك ربك اسرارا مؤيدة

موهوبة بالتمني ليس تكتسب

Your Lord has given you assisting secrets

Bestowed through wishing—not earned

عليك رضوان ربي يا ابن فاطمة

ما قام في الكون شأن أو بدا سبب

Upon you is my Lord’s pleasure, o son of Fatima

As long as affairs occur or causes arise in creation

انظر الي بعين كلها همم

تعطى وبالوهب من خلاقها ثهب

Regard me with eyes that are all ambitions

That give and, through bestowal, shower from their creativity

وخذ مديحة عبد انت سيده

وهذه لك من بعض الذي يجب

And take the praise of a servant whose master you are

And this is for you a portion of what is due
