  1. إن المحبة إن قادت إلى الأدب

    محبة ولديها الفوز بالأرب

    Indeed, love, if it leads to proper conduct,

    is love, and with it comes the fulfillment of one's wish.

  2. وإن تخلت عن الآداب باطنها

    طرد وظاهرها نوع من العطب

    And if it forsakes good manners, its inner reality

    is banishment, and its outward form a kind of ruin.
