لا تسل عن مزية الاختصاص

يا ابن ودي فتلك حظ الخواص

Do not ask about the privilege of being specially chosen.

O son of my affection, that is the lot of the elect.

تقلب الترب لو تدبرت تبرا

وتفيد العرفان اهل المعاصي

It turns dust into gold, if you reflect,

And grants spiritual knowledge to sinners.

وبسر من نفحة الغيب تغنى

عن فنون الوعاظ والقصاص

And through a secret from a breath of the Unseen, it frees one

From the arts of preachers and storytellers.

وبمحض الفضل القديم توافي

لحمى القرب بالرجال الاقاصي

And through sheer eternal grace, it brings

Far-off men to the sanctuary of nearness.

فاختصاص الرحمن للعبد بالرح

مة منح له يشيب النواصى

For the All-Merciful's singling out a servant for mercy

Is a gift to him that turns forelocks gray.

فتحقق بالصدق خل ولازم

باب رب الارباب بالاخلاص

So be grounded in truthfulness, friend, and remain at

The door of the Lord of lords with sincerity.

واحسن الظن لا تبارح حماه

فحماه حصن المسيء العاصي

And think well of Him; do not leave His sanctuary,

For His sanctuary is a fortress for the disobedient wrongdoer.

وخذ المصطفى ظهيرا وغوثا

فهو نعم الشفيع يوم القصاص

And take the Chosen One as a supporter and a source of succor,

For he is an excellent intercessor on the Day of Retribution.

وعليه الصلاة في كل آن

ما تلا الناس سورة الاخلاص

And may blessings be upon him at every moment,

As long as people recite Surah al-Ikhlas.
