ياO منyou who اسأتمyou did wrong واحسناand we did good لكمto you كرماout of generosity
يا من اسأتم واحسنا لكم كرما
ياO منyou who غدرتمyou betrayed ولمand did not نغدرwe betray وحاشاناand far be it from us
يا من غدرتم ولم نغدر وحاشانا
O you who did wrong, while we treated you kindly out of generosity.
O you who betrayed, while we did not betray—far be it from us!
ياO منyou who قطعتمyou severed ties ولمand did not نقطعwe sever مودتكمaffection for you
يا من قطعتم ولم نقطع مودتكم
ياO منyou who نسيتمyou forgot ولمand did not ننسwe forget الذيwhat كاناonce was
يا من نسيتم ولم ننس الذي كانا
O you who severed ties, while we did not cut off our affection for you.
O you who forgot, while we did not forget what once was.
اناindeed we علىabiding by العهدthe covenant لمdid not ننقضwe break وثائقهits bonds
انا على العهد لم ننقض وثائقه
وقدand perhaps يجازيrequites الكيمunclear; possibly 'the Wise' العدلthe Just منwhoever خاناbetrayed
وقد يجازي الكيم العدل من خانا
Indeed, we abide by the covenant; we have not broken its bonds.
And the Wise [reading uncertain], the Just, may requite whoever betrayed.
