I asked you: take me swiftly away from their dwellings,

so perhaps I will not turn toward a bending bough.

And fly me away from the ruins; leave their grounds,

for I cannot bear a ruin grown desolate.

It pains the lovesick, enthralled lover to see

a dwelling he holds dear tossed about by the winds.

And it is hard for him to behold, against his will,

the homes of those he loves, not as he would wish.
