دموعيmy tears جرتflowed شروىlike السحابthe clouds لاننيbecause I am
دموعي جرت شروى السحاب لانني
بجمعwith all of هموميmy sorrows رهنcaptive to شملfellowship مبددscattered
بجمع همومي رهن شمل مبدد
My tears streamed—the clouds drank them—for I
My tears flowed like the clouds, for I am
with all my sorrows amassed, am captive to a union torn apart.
With all my sorrows, captive to a scattered fellowship.
اجرgrant refuge ياO رفاعيRifa‘i الآلthe household ياO ابنson of محمدMuhammad
اجر يا رفاعي الآل يا ابن محمد
وخذand take بيديby my hand غوثاهhelp! ياO صاحبpossessor of اليدthe hand
وخذ بيدي غوثاه يا صاحب اليد
Grant me refuge, O Rifāʿī of the Prophet’s House, O son of Muhammad;
Grant me refuge, O Rifa‘i of the household, O son of Muhammad,
and take my hand—help!—O master of the helping hand.
And take me by the hand—help! O you with the helping hand.
