Sol 6.1

  1. سقى الله عهدك يا احمد

    فانك ضائعة تنشد

    May God send rain upon your days, O Ahmad,

    for you are lost and sought after.

  2. نمتك لفاروقها نسبة

    بها يكمل المجد والسودد

    A lineage links you to its Faruq,

    through which glory and eminence are perfected.

  3. وانت لعمر العلا نسخة

    صنوف الكمال بها توجد

    And you, by the life of glory, are an exemplar

    in which every form of perfection is found.

  4. وشعرك يحكي نسيم الصبا

    وطبعك من نشرها اجود

    And your poetry echoes the east wind's breeze,

    and your nature is finer than its fragrance.

  5. لك الله انت نجيب له

    بكل فنون المعالي يد

    May God be with you! You are a noble man with

    a hand in all the arts of excellence.

  6. لبيتك في سدرة المركما

    ت فخار يقر له الجلمد

    At the lote tree of noble deeds, your house

    has a glory that even solid rock acknowledges.

  7. وانت محب لآل النبي

    وعمك في حبهم مفرد

    And you love the Prophet's family,

    and your uncle is unmatched in his love for them.

  8. خدمت الرفاعي غوث الوجو

    د بنظم بكل الملا ينشد

    You served al-Rifa‘i, the succor of existence,

    with verse recited in every gathering.

  9. وطوقت اتباعه بالعقو

    د ففيها لك الشرف الاوحد

    And you garlanded his followers with necklaces,

    so in them lies your peerless honor.

  10. عقود بنظمك لما انجلت

    عليها الخناصر قد تعقد

    When necklaces shone forth through your verse,

    little fingers were folded over them in admiration.

  11. ونفسك في طيها عزة

    لسدرة عرش النهى تصعد

    And your soul holds within its folds a dignity

    that ascends to the lote tree of wisdom's throne.

  12. عزيز علينا وحق الوفا

    مصابك يا ايها الامجد

    Grievous to us, by the sanctity of loyalty,

    is your loss, O most glorious one.

  13. اجل وردنا طول هذا الزما

    ن سقى الله عهدك يا احمد

    Yes, our litany throughout all this time is:

    May God send rain upon your days, O Ahmad.
