He has a place above the heads of the stars.
He has a place above the stars’ heights
نداهhis generosity يؤُمseeks out الآملينthe hopeful وانهand indeed he
نداه يؤُم الآملين وانه
حماهhis sanctuary لكلfor all الخائفينthe fearful امانsafety
حماه لكل الخائفين امان
His generosity seeks out the hopeful, and indeed,
His call leads the hopeful and he
his sanctuary is safety for all the fearful.
Is safety for all the frightened, security
وهلand is there? بعدafter تقبيلkissing اليمينthe right hand مزيةa distinction
وهل بعد تقبيل اليمين مزية
تشاكلهاmatches it مهماno matter how اسندارturns (apparent misspelling) زمانtime
تشاكلها مهما اسندار زمان
And after kissing the right hand, is there any distinction
And is there after kissing the right hand, excellence
that could match it, however time may turn?
That time can equal, no matter how long it lasts
وهلand is there? مثلهاlike it فيin عالمthe realm of الفخرglory رتبةa rank
وهل مثلها في عالم الفخر رتبة
يقالit is said فلانso-and-so حازهاattained it وفلانand so-and-so
يقال فلان حازها وفلان
And is there, in the realm of glory, a rank like it,
And is there in the world of pride a rank
of which one may say, 'So-and-so attained it, and so-and-so'?
That can be said so-and-so achieved it, and so-and-so
