Sol 6.1

  1. تدارك أجل المرسلين بإحسان

    فأنت علي الجاه والقدر والشان

    Come to my aid with kindness, O noblest of the messengers.

    For you are lofty in standing, rank, and dignity.

  2. وجد وتفضل بالرضى واكفني القضا

    وانعم ببرهان يقد يد الشاني

    Be generous, bestow your favor, and shield me from fate's decree.

    And grant a sign that severs the hater's hand.

  3. إليك النجائي يا إمام الورى ويا

    سراج الهدى يا سيد الإنس والجان

    To you I turn for refuge, O leader of creation, and O

    lamp of guidance, O master of humankind and jinn.

  4. بقربك من مولاك بالمدد الذي

    تولاك فيه اللَه يا شبل عدنان

    By your nearness to your Lord, by the aid with which

    God took you into His care, O lion-cub of Adnan.

  5. أغث بقبول واصرف الهم والبلا

    وكيد العدا والقائمين ببهتان

    Grant relief through acceptance, and avert sorrow and affliction,

    and the schemes of foes and those who spread slander.

  6. وقل أنت مني لا تخف كيد ظالم

    وكم بأسرار العناية نقصاني

    And say, "You are of me; do not fear a wrongdoer's schemes."

    And cover my shortcomings with the mysteries of providence.

  7. توسل إلى المولى فجاهك لم يخب

    وقم بمرادي واكفني شر خواني

    Intercede with the Lord, for your standing has not failed,

    and fulfill my desire, and spare me the evil of those who betray me.

  8. ورد بسهم القهر قاصد ذلتي

    فعزمك مشهود وسيفك رباني

    Repel with the arrow of subjugation whoever seeks my humiliation,

    for your resolve is witnessed and your sword is divine.

  9. وجرحتك الدهماء ليس لها دوا

    ورمحك مطعون به الحاسد الجاني

    And the dark wound you inflict has no remedy,

    and with your spear the envious evildoer is pierced.

  10. سألتك بالصديق صاحبك الذي

    مناقبه صحت بآيات قرآن

    I ask you by al-Siddiq, your companion, whose

    virtues are confirmed by verses of the Qur'an;

  11. وبالسيد الفاروق من بدد العدا

    وشيد الدار أعنى ابن عفان

    and by the lord al-Faruq, who scattered the foes,

    and built the abode—I mean Ibn Affan;

  12. بصهرك ابن العم حيدرة الرضى

    على أبي السبطين عزى وعلواني

    by your son-in-law and cousin, Haydara the well-pleased,

    Ali, father of the two grandsons, my strength and exaltation;

  13. وواسطتي العظمى إليك وكافلي

    إذا الدهر بالريب الخفي تولاني

    and my greatest intermediary with you, and my guardian

    when time assails me with hidden misfortunes;

  14. وقدوة أولاد الرسول وجدهم

    وعين رجال اللَه في كل ميدان

    and the exemplar of the Messenger's descendants, and their grandfather,

    and the foremost of God's men in every field:

  15. أخيك عريض الجاه عندك بارع ال

    كرامة شهم الآل منقذ لهفان

    your brother, of vast standing with you, outstanding in

    miraculous grace, the Household's noble man, rescuer of the distressed;

  16. بشبليه سبطيك الكريمين ثم بال

    جليلة أم الآل أشرف نسوان

    by his two lion-cubs, your noble grandsons, then by the

    venerable mother of the Household, the noblest of women,

  17. حقيقة معنى عقدة النسب الذي

    بها لك موصول بأكمل عنوان

    the true meaning of the bond of lineage, which

    through her is joined to you under the fullest designation;

  18. بساداتنا الأصحاب بالشهم خالد

    أمير بني مخزم ذي المدد الداني

    by our lords, the Companions, by valiant Khalid,

    chief of Banu Makhzum, whose aid is near,

  19. هزبر الوغا ابن الوليد الذي له

    إياد بها كم فل عصبة طغيان

    lion of battle, Ibn al-Walid, whose

    strength has so often shattered a tyrannical band;

  20. بسر أبي أيوب خالد الذي

    علا في علا الأنصار شانا على شان

    by the secret of Abu Ayyub Khalid, who

    rose amid the Ansar's glory, rank above rank;

  21. بأسيادنا الغر الميامين قادة ال

    برية أهل البيت أقمار أكوان

    by our radiant, blessed lords, leaders of

    creation, the People of the Household, moons of the worlds;

  22. بدولة زين العابدين وصدقه

    وبالباقر المعروف في كل عرفان

    by the sway of Zayn al-Abidin and his truthfulness,

    and by al-Baqir, known in every sphere of spiritual knowledge;

  23. بجعفر أعنى الصادق الوعد سيدي

    وبالكاظم الحاوي جلالة إيمان

    by Ja'far—I mean al-Sadiq, true to his promise, my master;

    and by al-Kazim, bearer of faith's majesty;

  24. وبالعسكري ثم الرضى ثم بالنقي

    كذاك التقى ثم الجواد لعيان

    and by al-Askari, then al-Rida, then al-Naqi,

    likewise al-Taqi, then al-Jawad, manifest to the eye;

  25. وبالسيد المهدي وكل فروعهم

    وأولادهم في كل أرضٍ وبلدان

    and by the lord al-Mahdi and all their branches,

    and their children in every land and country;

  26. ويا سيد الشيخ الرفاعي أحمد ال

    أكابر تاج القوم صاحب برهان

    and O master, Shaykh al-Rifa'i, Ahmad of the

    great ones, crown of the fellowship, possessor of a sign,

  27. إمام صدور الأوليا حضرة الرضى

    مربي الهدى غوثي بنكبة أزماني

    leader of the foremost saints, revered presence of favor,

    nurturer of guidance, my succor in the calamity of my times;

  28. وسيلتي الكبرى لبابك أن أقل

    أغثني حبيب اللَه يا راحم العاني

    my greatest means to your door is to say:

    "Help me, beloved of God, O you who pity the captive!"

  29. به وبباز اللَه ذي الباس والعلا

    سراج ربا بغداد كوكب جيلان

    By him, and by God's hawk, possessor of might and eminence,

    lamp of Baghdad's hills, star of Jilan;

  30. وبالبدوي السيد الغوث صاحب ال

    مناقب والمولى الدسوقي سلطاني

    and by al-Badawi, the lord, the succor, possessor of

    virtues, and the master al-Dasuqi, my sovereign;

  31. بوالدنا الصياد والغوث ذخرنا ال

    إمام سراج الدين كافل إخواني

    by our father al-Sayyad, and the succor, our treasure, the

    Imam Siraj al-Din, guardian of my brethren;

  32. بكل ولي طيب العهد كامل

    وكل محب غاب فيك بإذعان

    by every perfected saint, true to his covenant,

    and every lover lost in you in surrender;

  33. بدائرة الغيب الخفي وأهلها

    وبالأرقعين الغر أصحاب ديوان

    by the circle of the hidden unseen and its people,

    and by the radiant Forty [reading uncertain], members of a council;

  34. بزمرة ركب المؤمنين جميعهم

    بما جاء من أمر قديم وتبيان

    by the entire company of the believers' caravan,

    by what has come of an ancient command and elucidation;

  35. بعلمك ولاسر المطلسم في العمى

    وقدرتك العليا على أهل عدوان

    by your knowledge and the talisman-sealed secret in obscurity [reading uncertain],

    and your supreme power over aggressors:

  36. تحرك بسيف أحمدي وخد به

    رقاب العدا وافتك بهم فتك غضبان

    move with an Ahmadi sword, and slash with it

    the foes' necks, and strike them down with a wrathful slaughter;

  37. ودمر همو بالبطش والقهر عاجلاً

    واطلق بنادي حيهم نار أحزان

    and destroy them swiftly with violence and subjugation;

    and unleash a fire of sorrows in their clan's gathering-place;

  38. واطلق بهم خيل القضا واكفف الرضى

    ببأسك عنهم واكسهم ثوب أكفان

    and unleash against them fate's horses, and withhold favor

    from them by your might, and clothe them in a garment of shrouds.

  39. فغارتك العظمى لها كل غيرةٍ

    يهد بها كسرى ودعمة إيوان

    For your mighty raid holds every protective zeal,

    by which Kisra and the pillar of an iwan are toppled.

  40. وسيفك سيف لا تداوي جروحه

    وبابك مأوى الأمن للقاضي والداني

    And your sword is a sword whose wounds cannot be healed,

    and your door is a haven of safety for the judge and the one nearby.

  41. أتيتك ملهوف الفؤادٍ وليس لي

    سواك لإعزازي ونصرة أعواني

    I came to you with a distressed heart, and I have

    none but you to honor me and support my helpers.

  42. أمولاي يا جد الحسين الوحا الوحا

    فلسطانك العالي علا كل سلطان

    O my lord, O grandfather of al-Husayn, haste, haste!

    For your lofty sovereignty rises above every sovereignty.

  43. وجودك مبذول وغوثك حاضر

    وأنت حمى جاهي إذا خان خلاني

    And your generosity is freely offered, and your succor is at hand,

    and you protect my standing when my friends betray me.

  44. إليك البحات الدهر مادمت باقياً

    وفي كل آن فيك ظني وإيماني

    To you is my appeal [word unclear], throughout time, as long as I remain,

    and at every moment my trust and faith are in you.

  45. فجد يا ختام المرسلين بنظرةٍ

    يعز بها قدري وتشمخ أركاني

    So be generous, O seal of the messengers, with a glance

    through which my rank is honored and my pillars rise high.

  46. ودمر بها الباغي ورد من اعتدى

    علي وعامله بقهر وخذلان

    And with it destroy the oppressor, and repel whoever attacks

    me, and treat him with subjugation and abandonment.

  47. ومد اليد البيضا لنصري إنني

    لنجدتك العليا التوت عين إنساند

    And extend your white hand to aid me, for I

    have turned my gaze toward your lofty aid [text uncertain].

  48. بأعتابك الفسحا أنخت مطيتي

    وخليت أصحاب الزمان وإخواني

    At your spacious thresholds I have made my mount kneel,

    and left my contemporaries and my brethren behind.

  49. وها أنت باب اللَه من غير ريبةٍ

    وفضلك فضل اللَه والسر رحماني

    And behold, you are God's door, without a doubt;

    and your bounty is God's bounty, and the secret is of the All-Merciful.

  50. بشانك عاملني بعفوك عمني

    بنصرك أتحفني بلطفك تولاني

    Deal with me according to your dignity; encompass me with your pardon.

    Honor me with your support; take me into your care with your kindness.

  51. عليك صلاة اللَه والآل كلهم

    وصحب وكل التابعين بإحسان

    May God's blessing be upon you and all the Household,

    and the Companions, and all who follow in goodness.
