وسر بطيبة القمر المنير
A radiant dawn has broken for victory.
The dawn of victory shone bright,
And the shining moon in Taybah was gladdened.
As the radiant full moon went forth in delight.

So the resounding peal of glory has its splendor,
The clatter of pottery sings praise,
and the pens of conquest have their scratching sound.
And the pens of conquest make a pleasant sound.

By the Prophet's decree, "Excellent Emir."

through which the blaze flares up amid slaughter.
And the King Almighty has beautified this clemency.

You adopted forbearance as your watchword while powerful,
You have founded kingship on justice, delighting in it -
and his forbearance adorned the mighty king.
Justice and it have become radiant companions.

You pardoned the wrongdoer, and this is no novelty;
You gifted the lands and their inhabitants
for the pardon of one like you is a great man's pardon.
With your benevolence, like rain clouds pouring down.

And when the Greeks transgressed in ignorance,
You extended peace and mercy to them,
you drew illumination from the light of your patience.
While reckless foolishness leads only to ruin.

The mortally wounded tossed in agony,

While the captured languished in chains.

where the blood of their assailant murmurs as it flows.
So giving charity has become your hallmark.
