وكلاب وجرة تستزيد نباحها
A lion sleeps quietly upon the ground,
The lion sleeps on the ground quietly
And the dogs of Wajra keep increasing their barking.
While the dogs and jars increase their barking

سود الكلاب فما سمعت صياحها
So whenever he is roused and rises with a roar, they dart away—
So when he was provoked and stood with a roar
The black dogs—and you hear their cries no more.
The dogs fled and I did not hear their screaming

بالذل ترجف ليلها وصباحها
And in every bank they take a hollow as their pillow,
And dug in every cliff a hole
Trembling in humiliation through their night and morning.
With humiliation trembling night and morning
