I beseech you by Him who gave you beauty,

I beseech you, by the One who gave you beauty,

And mantled you in majesty and discernment,

And veiled you in majesty and sagacity,

وابدى فيك طورا كسرويا

وابدى فيك طورا كسرويا

تطرزه البلاغة والسياسه

تطرزه البلاغة والسياسه

And revealed in you a Khosrow-like bearing,

And revealed in you a bearing like Khosrow's,

Embroidered by eloquence and statesmanship.

Which eloquence and statecraft embroider:

ترفق بي فأنت مليك حسن

ترفق بي فأنت مليك حسن

على اهل الجمال له الرياسه

على اهل الجمال له الرياسه

Be gentle with me, for you are the king of beauty;

Be gentle with me, for you are a king of beauty,

Over all the people of beauty, yours is supremacy.

Who holds supremacy over the beautiful.
