حبي لأهلي وأولادي وعائلتي

حبي لأهلي وأولادي وعائلتي

ومن يلوذ بأهلي حب ذي شيم

ومن يلوذ بأهلي حب ذي شيم

My love for my kin, my children, and my family,

My love for my family, children and relatives

And for whoever seeks refuge with my kin, is the love of one of noble character.

And whoever takes refuge with my family has a love of noble character

فمن أحبهم أحببته علنا

فمن أحبهم أحببته علنا

وباطناً وأنا ضد لضدهم

وباطناً وأنا ضد لضدهم

So whoever loves them, I love him openly

So whoever loves them, I have loved openly

And inwardly—and I am a foe to their foe.

And inwardly, though I oppose their opponent

الأقربون بهم أوصى الإله وذا

الأقربون بهم أوصى الإله وذا

سر لعارف معنى وصلة الرحم

سر لعارف معنى وصلة الرحم

God enjoined care for the nearest kin; and this

The near ones, God has entrusted them and that

Is a secret to one who understands the meaning of kinship's bond.

Is a secret to the one who knows the meaning of maintaining kinship

وإن لي رتبة في حفظ رتبتهم

وإن لي رتبة في حفظ رتبتهم

من كل عاره تعلو عندهم هممي

من كل عاره تعلو عندهم هممي

And indeed I have a rank in safeguarding their rank

And I have a rank in preserving their rank

From all his disgrace; in their presence my aspirations soar.

From any dishonor, my determination rises above for them

وشأن يعقوب ينبي عن غوامض ما

وشأن يعقوب ينبي عن غوامض ما

في طي منشور منظومي من الحكم

في طي منشور منظومي من الحكم

And Jacob's story reveals the mysteries of what

And the affair of Jacob hints to the subtleties of what

Lies in the folds of the scroll of my versified wisdom.

Is folded in the published, poetic wisdom

وغارة المصطفى في أمر عترته

وغارة المصطفى في أمر عترته

وأهله الغر تروي عن ذوي الكرم

وأهله الغر تروي عن ذوي الكرم

And the Chosen One's onslaught concerning his kindred

And the Prophet's protective jealousy regarding his family

And his radiant household tells of those endowed with generosity.

And household, the uncouth, it narrates about the generous

والاغتصاب لأهل البيت شيده

والاغتصاب لأهل البيت شيده

خير الوجود وهذا بعده قدمي

خير الوجود وهذا بعده قدمي

And usurpation for the People of the House was established

And the usurpation of the People of the House, he built it

By the best of creation; and after him, this is my footing.

The best of existence, and after this is my step
